Why are all the fabulous, moderately priced neighborhood restaurants not in my ‘hood? I recently ate at the newly opened Stretch Pizza.

Now there is a great deal more to Rockefeller Center than the rink and the annual Christmas tree. Glorious food has skated into 30 Rock.

Takeda is noteworthy. The price point maybe a bit daunting, but the quality and the intimate dining experience are memorable.

Timing is everything. I went from drowning at sea in a horrible script to wallowing in fabulous, creative food at the East Village newcomer, Claud.
