Saturday was only 47 degrees in the morning, but that did not stop us from heading to our favorite beach and hiking trail in Malibu.
We clocked several miles on the eroded beach caused by the litany of storms. The annex road was closed due to mudslides.
A cool ocean breeze prevailed, so but the peace and quiet warmed our souls.
Dolphins romped and humans stayed home.
We hiked and then read on the beach for several hours.
By midday we had worked up an appetite for our favorite weekly beachy lunch spot.
We were warmly welcomed back to Sunset Restaurant and indulged in our usual order of Steamed Mussels and Fish Tacos.
This is one of the best parts of California living.
Serenity prevailed.
