Sociale, Food and Friends Trump Reality

Food and friends.

Necessary ingredients for a delicious evening.

Last night we rendezvous’d at the divine Sociale with revered owner, Francesco and the fabulous couple we had met at the restaurant four years ago.

We meet up with Chloe and Fede infrequently, but constantly stay in touch through social media and my blog.

It was a beautiful evening to dine outside.

Joined by Francesco, we talked for hours and the dazzling trio regaled us with expansive tales of travel, family and folly.

We discussed today’s turbulent times…it is comforting to know that although we are all in pain, there is an intelligent, like minded support system.

A satisfying evening was had by all and we departed satiated by excellent food, inspired,  hilarious chatter and fine wine.

In these troubling times, it is fulfilling to be lifted up by the simple things in life.
