Simple Pleasures…

Here comes the sun!

Saturday dawned brilliant, crisp and cold…hallelujah!

The last time we had baby blue skies in New York was the end of December.

We took a 4 hour walk through Central Park with a momentary coffee stop to listen to a fabulous musician with his magic horn. He played for hours to an enthusiastic crowd.

Saturday night was a wonderful Bordeaux red wine experience at Bar Boulud surrounded by fabulous people.

Sunday was another divine day so we headed to the beach and our doggie romped on the sand and took to the refreshing Atlantic Ocean.

It was the first weekend since August without football.

I took time out to watch Gisela, Expats, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and they all sucked.

I did get a kick out of the first two episodes of Feud: Capote vs The Swans. It reeks of being the precursor to the Housewives franchise.

I think Babe Paley, CZ Guest, Slim Keith and Lee Radziwill are the authentic, genuine Real Housewives of the Filthy Rich.

Some of these over the top high society doyennes were clients of my dad so the story line resonated.

Life is violent, politically deranged, emotionally tenuous so I feel honored to have experienced a loving, peaceful family weekend.
