Sexy Fish…Miami Restaurant Review

Miami is bringing Sexy back.

For $84 million the city is now home to Sexy Fish a British import from businessman and restaurateur, Richard Caring.

He owns many of London’s most celebrated restaurants, including 34 Mayfair, Scott’s and The Ivy. He is also behind the globally renowned private members club, Annabel’s and is a major shareholder in the Soho House group.

Glamorous Sexy Fish is located in the heart of Brickell with surrealist décor inspired by the oceans of Asia.

Sexy Fish offers an all day to late-night music infused experience.

The outrageous interiors are designed by the award-winning Martin Brudnizki Studio. Amazing original artwork is featured by legendary British artist, Damien Hirst, as well as a 26 fish lamp installation from celebrated architect and designer Frank Gehry.

There is a lifelike sculpture of Daniel Craig in the ornate men’s room.

The Ladies Room features a life size mermaid.

We went for the kitsch and ended up both visually and gastronomically fulfilled.

The food was fabulous under the direction of Michelin star chef, Bjorn Weissgerber.

After taking in our opulent surroundings we started ordering.

Our server as well as the entire staff is adorned in colorful Versace outfits.

While we cogitated on the menu we ordered  unique  tasty cocktails.

I had the marvelously smooth and delicious Pear & Cardamom cocktail with Crystal Head Vodka and Champagne ($25) and my daughter selected the Cherry & Almond  adult beverage  with Toki Whisky, Poppy Seed and Egg White Clarified ($20).

We nibbled on well prepared Steamed Edamame ($8) and tantalizingly crispy Salt & Pepper Squid ($14).

The Yellowtail Sashimi & green mandarin ponzu was delicate and flavorful ($24).

We got sexy with an outrageous Carmelized Black Cod  ($46.80).

The Lobster Tempura was sweet and meaty and beautifully presented ($53.10).

The Truffle Sweet Corn Rice was another winner ($28.10).

The Tiger Prawn Skewers were well seasoned and delectable ($26.10).

The sensational Green Asparagus were prepared all dente in a ponzu sauce ($18.10).

The finale featured warm Cinnamon Donuts with an exotic Mango and Passion Fruit Curd dipping sauce and a warm rich and thick Chocolate sauce that were off the charts ($16).

The Sexy Fish Mother’s Day celebration was gifted by my equally incredible daughter.

I really thought that dining at Sexy Fish would be all entertainment.

The food and service are quite the turn on.
