Open Wide…

Just had oral surgery.

Always amazing to me that you can show up at a doctor’s office feeling healthy and looking great.

Within 90 minutes you are down for the count, swollen and have that vacant look in your eyes that says, I am temporarily out to lunch!

Don’t forget the sizable financial hit.

I needed a chaperone to take me home.

Thankfully, my husband was there for me because navigating the means streets proved to be challenging.

We made it home in frigid weather with the cold settling into my face and exacerbating the pain.

The next two days are exercise free and will consist of soft foods.

This could be my one guilt-free opportunity to eat ice cream and mashed potatoes.

Chicken soup is on the list of foods to consume…I can’t imagine consuming anyone else’s chicken soup other than my two mom’s, Queen E and Ethel.

Weird to be in bed and not have my mom calling every hour to check up on me.

My husband is happy…it’s difficult to verbally communicate so he can escape to David’s World without me telling him to snap out of it and listen to my words.

Oh yuck. Mouth pain is really debilitating. Warm showers helped me. Sadly ice cream made the pain worse. Watch movies.
