Lovin’ Freestyle…

Freestyle is a great way to live life.

Go rogue and just improvise.

Take what’s thrown at you, pick and chose the scenarios that resonate.

That random theory has become a highly creative production on Broadway called, Freestyle Love Supreme.

A crew of talented hip hop freestylists are enthralling audiences with their improvisational hip-hop at the Booth Theater.

More than 15 years after its inception, the original hip-hop musical phenomenon from Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anthony Veneziale is lighting up the stage.

What distinguishes “Freestyle Love Supreme” is that the root of all the ideas that are hatched onstage are tossed at the talented team from the audience.

The crowd feeds the onstage talent the words, ideas and emotions then they are transformed into  outrageous rhymed performance pieces.

Hilarious, innovative vignettes are developed from unlikely prompts such as “period,” annihilation, penguin and don’t touch my hair.

For an evening that moves at Mach speed and is loaded with fun and clever flights of fancy see, Freestyle Love Supreme.

Be aware that you must surrender your cell and smart watches which are placed in a lockable Yondr pouch that will only be unlocked at the end of the show.

Freestyle Love Supreme Booth Theatre 222 West 45th Street New York City. Runs through January 5th, 2020.
