I’m mad as hell and feeling ripped off.

I lost yesterday to a 15 hour migraine and it made me wonder how many days I have lost in my lifetime to this insidious disease..

No matter what I did I just couldn’t get the pain under control.

Usually I can manage the headache and still function.

The pain was so debilitating that I had to succumb.

I tried everything to no avail.

Now the reality is my insurance keeps changing the “level” of my medication.

The generic brand is $12 a tablet and I can only buy 12 per month. The name brand is $235 a pill.

Outrageous when you discover that at least 38 million Americans suffer from migraines with 75% being women.

Mine are chronic so a good month is only experiencing 15-20 every month and this has been happening since the age of 8.

I have done everything possible to achieve relief and seen a multitude of experts, eliminated foods and alcohol, but nothing helps.

Today is a new day.

It is 5am and I am thankfully pain free.

I’ll continue to fight back one day at a time.
