Hatred Motivates The World…

What is going on in the world?!

It appears that a Malaysian 777 jumbo jet has been shot down by rebels in Eastern Ukraine.

By Thursday night, American intelligence analysts were increasingly focused on a theory that rebels had used a Russian-made SA-11 surface-to-air missile system to shoot down the aircraft and operated on their own fire-control radar, outside the checks and balances of the national Ukrainian air-defense network.

Eastern Ukraine has been roiled for months by a violent pro-Russian separatist uprising in which a number of military aircraft have been downed. But this would be the first commercial airline disaster resulting from the hostilities in Ukraine.

298 innocent people gone due to random hatred. I can tell you, I will not be booking any flights on Malaysian Airlines. Unfortunately, the airline has been experiencing a crash course on dealing with disasters.

Many airlines are announcing that they will not be flying over that particular route which is Euro controlled airspace with controllers based in Brussels.

The war in the Middle East has escalated even though there was a call for a truce and the Israelis had agreed. At that point, Hamas escalated the missile activity.

Anti-Semitism is on the rise throughout the world. When things get hot in the world, why are the Jewish people always targeted?

The Afghans have stepped up their terror attacks in that country. From January to June, an average of 40 children were killed or injured every week.

Iraq recently saw one of the bloodiest days with a string of car bombings killing an estimated total of 60 in Baghdad. 59 other people died in the country’s north. Several fatalities were also reported after militants took students hostage in Ramadi.

The list of worldwide conflicts is long.

Why is there so much hatred? I know it is an age old question and perhaps naive on my part to throw it out there.

Even at my Co-op in NYC residents are feuding and tossing out hate filled missives.

Has everyone gone cra cra?!  Many of the international conflicts are religion based…so many atrocities in the name of God.

The weekend is upon us. Please consider a random act of kindness. Perhaps, like the wave at a sporting event, it will catch on and go around and around until everyone is touched my kindness and human compassion.

Stop the Madness and have a lovely weekend.
