Furniture Fantasy Fulfilled…

I now believe in the furniture fairy.

Previously, I told the tale of the upholstery rip off artist who held my furniture, fabric and money hostage for six months. I won’t reiterate the details…you can check my blog for all the facts.

Melrose Trading Post held an intervention and everything was returned except for the deposit. Sadly, my pristine furniture was in deplorable condition.

Enter Centimeter Interior Upholstery…my own personal furniture miracle workers. I was introduced to the Javahery family, a posse of four talented and amazing men who rescued my furniture and with a wave of their wooden wand turned the ugly duckling bench and water stained chair into stylish pieces to be objectified and revered.

Amir, the patriarch of the family and a gent exuding old world grace, left Iran in 1985. His family owned furniture galleries in Iran and created custom furniture.

The Javahery’s arrived in America with little and worked hard to create Centimeter Interior Upholstery, a thriving, highly regarded 29 year-old business that not only upholsters, refinishes, restores furniture, but replicates and custom makes any pieces within five weeks.

They have built and restored furniture in hundreds of homes and businesses in the LA area such as Shutters in Santa Monica, the Buffalo Club, LAX and UCLA Medical Center.

They are artists. Amir builds furniture and sculpts. His two sons Saba and Vala not only devoted to the business, but are entrepreneurs in their own right. Uncle Eddie runs a tight ship and their workers are top notch.
