Food & Friendship, Italian Style…

Perfection.

Every time I break bread with my darling friend, Francesco Nucitelli, it is an affair to remember.

Let’s not get all hot and bothered…by affair I mean a culinary event with a smart, charming, erudite gentleman.

We talk non-stop about politics, sports, life, love and humanity.

Plus, my husband is always present.

The other night we took the #2 train to Brooklyn Heights.

This is a simple journey and our reward is always remarkable food.

Francesco and his stellar team outdid themselves.

He is always unearthing the next fabulous small Italian winery, a new Prosecco, a tantalizing twist on a traditional dish.

Burrata
Burrata

We had burrata that makes you sing. The nuts were an outstanding addition.

Short Rib

The short rib was tender and sweet.

Scallops

The dry scallops fresh from the sea.

Pumpkin RAvioli
Pumpkin Ravioli

The pumpkin ravioli was as sweet as I should be and never am.

Osso Buco

The Osso Buco with bone marrow was beyond incredible.

Red Snapper

The Red Snapper was panned seared to perfection…crispy with delectable accompaniment.

The desserts were a gift.

How many Italian restaurants serve desserts that rival the pasta dishes?!

You need to put Sociale on your bucket list…that is how outstanding the food is.

Francesco will personally make your evening memorable.

And, the adorable Italian, is now a full fledged NY Giants fan.

What more could I ever ask for….amazing food, genuine friendship and a devoted NY Giants supporter.

it’s always a blast to have you David and Courtny in the house and enjoy some good food wine and conversations (btw thanks for feeding me; your overwhelming generosity and need to share is always a great source of inspiration for me).
I’ll see you soon…(maybe holding together a “notmypresident” sign in Union Square).
