I am composing this post from Cloud 9.
The air is thin.
I am having trouble breathing.
My heart is racing.
I am floating in my NY Giants lucky t-shirt and boxer shorts.
The ride is wild, but I am in heaven.
Yesterday was the official opening of the 2016 NFL season and life is great.
In usual Giants style, my obsession won the game in the waning moments.
I had to take my blood pressure, diarrhea and anti-nausea pills.
It was a 2 minute drill in perseverance.
We lost 6 games last year in the final seconds.
Amazing…Victor Cruz salsaed in the end zone after scoring the winning TD for the first time in 2 years, Odell Beckham, Jr. and the rookie second round draft choice, Sterling Shepard, were spectacular.
The much maligned O line hung tough, protecting QB Eli Manning and opening big holes for Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen who ran like the wind.
The infamous Big Blue Defensive Wrecking Crew returned after a long absence with huge help from JPP, Jonathan Casillas and the impressive free agents, Olivier Vernon, Janoris Jenkins and “Snacks” Harrison.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the newest Giants fan, Brooklynn.
Her commitment to the Giants is impressive as she was born into a house divided.
Her father is a diehard Giants fan.
Her mother, Stephanie, who is my daughter’s bestie, is a dedicated Patriots fan.
Brooklynn, your strong yet silent support and dedication to the NY Giants is admirable and greatly appreciated.
You rock.
Welcome to the Giants family.
I shall take the next 6 days to bask in the glory of a GIANT NY Giants victory, especially against the despised Dallas Cowboys.
Life is great.
