6am and ready to hit Central Park on a gorgeous day.
So many dogs running around…David and I talked Finnley and Madison for the first 15 minutes of our journey.
Coffee being the driving force, we rapidly made our way to Pain Quotidien located at Conservatory Water which is the model sailboat pond in Central Park.
We soaked up the glorious day.
We logged 4 miles and then went our separate ways. I headed for Fairway, the only decent grocery store on the upper west side.
Stopped next door for Citarella’s delish tuna salad.
Passed the Beacon Theatre. What a great venue. Leon Bridges was headlining. I saw him five months ago in the east village. He is such a talent.
Headed home to deposit the groceries, changed and made a beeline for Broadway, hooking up with my longtime, dear friend and talented actress, Cathy Newman.
We bought tickets at the TKTS booth for the play, The Humans.
It takes place on Thanksgiving Day. The family is gathered. Everyone is hopeful and happy to be together. Then reality sets in.
The Humans action takes place on a two-tiered set which is inspired.
It is a funny, poignant and realistic view of family. I found the ending a bit abrupt, but I highly recommend the play. I am sure it will be a strong contender for a Tony for Best Play.
We scampered up 6th Avenue to Magnolia Bakery in order to celebrate Cathy’s impending birthday properly.
Naturally, I window shopped my way home on Fifth Avenue and my drive by at Zara’s was costly.
And, the sun set on a absolutely fabulous day in the greatest city in the world.
I cannot “Imagine” my life without New York City being a huge part of it.
