You Had Me At Hello…

My husband just emailed me this photo.

It all comes back to me.

i never thought about marriage.

I was a successful professional on the fast track in male dominated industries.

In the deep, deep recesses of my mine I may have entertained the concept of marriage.

If you build it they will come…eventually there would be a wedding to plan to make my mother’s dream come true.

I had opportunities for the happily ever after, but found the proposals charming, but absurd.

Then I met David.

He was otherwise engaged both literally and figuratively and we became great friends.

There was an attraction…come on.

He is handsome, smart, kind, even tempered, sophisticated, successful and that accent.

He makes shit sound appealing.

Anyway, after years of togetherness and a long engagement, I decided I could not live without him.

Seeing this photo I know why.

Almost 38 years together I must admit saying yes to David was probably the best decision of my life.
