Generally speaking, it is an expensive meal and Omakase is ridiculous.
Slowly, new omakase restaurants in New York City are opening at a more affordable price point.
Recently, we were headed to a Broadway matinee. Dinner was in the cards.
I dislike just about every restaurant in the theater district.
My daughter found a new hidden gem…Tatsuda Omakase which offers a 14-course Omakase dinner at $90 per person.
There is also a list of additional very enticing specials.
We savored the 14 courses set in a lovely atmosphere with a fabulous sushi maker.
Mike described every course in detail and was generous with his time and portion size.
Enjoy the courses:
The tuna from Spain which produces the best tuna in the world, the seared Japanese Wagyu, the Japanese Uni, Chinese Caviar, King Salmon, Alaskan Ikura, Spanish Mackerel, the Japanese Scallop (Hokkaido) were outstanding as was every single course. Even the dessert was delicious.
Tatsuda flies in most of the fish from Japan and also serves locally sourced fish.
If you are in the theater district or are a fan of delectable, affordable sushi/omakase reserve at Tatsuda.
