L’Avant-Comptoir du Marché is an adorable bar and restaurant with a standing room only audience and a covered outside area situated on a luminous corner in the covered Marché Saint Germain.
L’Avant Comptoir du Marché, the third and largest L’Avant Comptoir, is helmed by Chef Yves Camdeborde.
I secured two stools at the bar with the charming bartender who efficiently guided me through the meat centric menu.
My pescatarian husband was well taken care of.
Amidst the rousing soundtrack and elated atmosphere of young cool Parisian’s we drank amazing wines.
We indulged in sushi, outrageous crispy pork belly, grilled salmon with accompanying amazing mashed potatoes, cheese raviolis and incredible cheeses.
The corn meal bread and Brittany butter was addictive as well as plentiful.
We walked off the lunch at the glorious Luxembourg Gardens.
We finished the stellar afternoon with cappuccinos at a lovely patisserie.
We then found a bench at 5:45pm on the Pont Neuf Bridge and awaited the first Eiffel Tower light show of the night.
What a glorious day just enjoying a New Yorker like experience in Paris.
