Is the tournament named after my life lately?
The games are definitely something to look forward to. My team is awful this season. They have no chance of making the cut so I cannot be emotionally eroded.
My sports mojo has gone the way of common sense in America.
The 2025 March Madness tournament starts Sunday with Selection Sunday as 68 teams will participate.
Mourning more madness, the Yankees have not even started the season and they are riddled with major injuries so college basketball will be my salvation.
The NY Giants still do not have a quarterback and no one is rushing to sign with them due to the general manager’s inability to build a solid team. I have a few months to ignore that particular madness.
Speaking madness, I attended a performance of the new Broadway musical, Redwood, which was difficult to watch when the Redwood forest went up in flames at the end of the show. Literally, too close to home.
Idina Menzel has an amazing voice and the video recreation of the Redwood forest is impressive. The cast all have fabulous singing voices, but the story is weak and you definitely will not walk away humming any of the tunes…this play is not a slam dunk and without Idina Menzel it probably would not fly.
Madness that Redwood made it to Broadway. The power of star power.
Another point of madness are dog owners who never take their eyes off their cell screen. Walking with your dog in the morning with a new day dawning is a wonderful bonding experience, but not many even check to see if their dogs are close at hand.
This addiction drives me mad.
Let’s transfer that to the sidewalks. Stay in your lanes, get off the speaker phone and look straight ahead, unencumbered by technology.
The ultimate madness is Agent Orange’s knee jerk reaction to everything. Ultimatums, threats abound and now he is the Cal Worthington for the spiraling Tesla company…a real conflict of interest.
There is no method to his madness or to the month of March!
Enjoy the weekend.
