Relevant Theater…

I am not a childless cat lady.

Needless to say, I do support all categories of women and cats even though I am a dog person.

I do know great theater so I am strongly recommending N/A to every women except female MAGA supporters because they are too limited in intelligence to comprehend a show of this magnitude.

The superbly written and acted N/A is timely, exciting and relevant.

If you are in New York City before mid-September then definitely make an effort to see N/A.

Emmy Award winner Holland Taylor (The Practice, Two and a Half Men, Ann) and outstanding newcomer, Ana Villafane, star as two congresswomen, generations apart.

Congressional aide turned playwright, Mario Correa, who is an immigrant from Chile (an immigrant who did not escape from prison or a mental institution?) has written a clever, impressive, realistic play.

Tony Award-winning director, Diane Paulus (Jagged Little Pill), teams up with Correa to deliver a gripping world premiere play about power, politics and the perilous path to progress.

Not a stretch to assume N is Nancy Pelosi, the first woman Speaker of the House, and A as in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC, a progressive and the youngest woman ever elect to Congress.

N/A should be mandatory viewing for U.S. students.

It’s a riveting 80 minutes.

A timely gender equality footnote…many MAGA supporters are devout Christians. As I recall Jesus was childless.

Other successful and influential childless men are George Washington, Leonardo da Vinci, President James Buchanan, Louis Armstrong, T.S. Eliot and Anthony Geary, Luke of General Hospital’s Luke and Laura fame.?

They managed to live productive childless lives and some even had cats.

Have a great weekend, see a show, enjoy your cat, dog, children or peace and quiet.
