On the agenda, tickets to the new Barry Manilow musical, Harmony.

I did not realize how a show taking place in the 1920-1930s would echo what is going on in the world today.

The musical tells the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, an ensemble of six young men in 1920s Germany who took the world by storm with their blend of sophisticated harmonies and hilarious stage antics. Then the Nazis took over and the group was soon obsolete. Why? Three members were Jewish.

The group sold millions of records, made dozens of films, and sold-out the biggest theaters around the world and then, BAM, no more.

What hit me hard was when one cast member said when you destroy democracy you are only left with chaos, pain and hatred.

I think that thought is on many Americans mind if trump is victorious, again.

When we exited the theatre there was a large police presence. I assume due to the theme of the musical.

The time is ripe to hate all things Jewish.

As with fashion, history, no matter how heinous,  repeats itself.
