I strolled down memory lane yesterday.
I climbed into my Volvo SUV and made the mostly scenic 4 hour drive to Syracuse, New York, remembering many nostalgic locations such as Goshen, Liberty and Deposit. I even broke the old driving record of 4 hours and 17 minutes.
What a beautiful campus.
I teared up over all the amazing moments.
I was one of the first women to be accepted into Newhouse School of Public Communications, the Harvard/Duke/Stanford of journalism schoolsshe stated modestly.
M Street looked worse for the wear and I missed Cosmo’s…no THB with mint chocolate chip ice cream and a Tab, no Casual Ms.
The quad, Crouse, Hendricks and that soaring dome still stand majestic.
I cannot believe it has been so many decades since I sat on the quad with my reflector on May 5th which literally was the only day each year that the sun shined in Syracuse. I clearly did not go there for the weather, but what an unbelievable tenure!
Carpe Diem, peeps. It all flies by.
GO O and I certainly am NOT referring to the rotten one running for dictator??
