The masses stuffed into a room with operating room lighting. A glance in the mirror would definitely be detrimental to my well being.
The buzz of overhead lighting, the drab decor brought back school vibes, a captive audience, being told what to do all culminating in making me feel trapped, restless and hungry.

The guy next to me announced that he had Covid…not much room for healthy distancing. Why is he here?!
I brought my radio headset to listen to WFAN, sports talk radio. The security guard asked me what the device was in my bag that required batteries. I was tempted to say a vibrator, but then looked around and wisely realized that this was not my audience for levity and checked myself.
Met a nice woman from the upper east side who skewed Democratic so I had someone who was fluent in English to sporadically talk to in the library silence environment. We broke bread at a Think coffee shop.
It was a very long afternoon and then at 4pm our fearless leader announced day is done. We received our walking papers and ran for the exits.
I earned a four year reprieve.
Justice is served. The only criminal trial I would have hung in for was the opportunity to jail trump.
