Craving Happy Hour…

Rough day dealing with unruly, irresponsible humans.

It got to be a lot so instead of eating chocolate I bought a baguette as in handbag and gave my husband no evening options.

it was Happy Hour bandwagon time.

I needed to feed and water my tender psyche.

Off we went.

Happy Hour prices made sense after my over the top emotional purchase.

Oysters sounded very appealing. As with eggs and gas, oyster prices have skyrocketed.

The pearlie delectables should not be $4,$5 $6 a piece.

Wine should not be $24 a glass and the measuring stick for a pour is absurdly small.

We walked up Amsterdam Avenue on the upper west side and enjoyed fabulous oysters for $2 each with a generous Aperol Spritz for $12 and draft beer at a $5 price point.

This pricing made it easier for me to rationalize my purchase along with deep breathing

In actuality, it is fun to finish the day between 4 and 7pm with a delicious array of fresh sweet oysters.

Throw into the mix some great bar food which is much more sophisticated now than the days of fried frozen calamari and a limp chicken wing.

I am all about Happy Hour.

Yesterday’s Happy Hour experience was at Crave Fishbar.  The staff was terrific, no crowds of 20-somethings saying LIKE 150 times, no selfies with the bar food.

It’s a fab night out without spending a fortune on food and drink.

I was home in time to watch the US Open women’s semifinals tennis matches and the first NFL game of the season, highlighted by Taylor Swift in Versace denim, Zanotti over-the-knee boots, carrying a Louis Vuitton purse.

A perfect day after I mentally eviscerated the ass wipes who invaded my life, indulged in retail therapy, ate well at a fun price point and spent the evening watching sports on TV.

Cheers????
