I adore my family.
We are willing to sacrifice our bodies for each other.
Jumped in the car at 8am on Sunday and headed to the Hamptons to keep our pup fit and trim.
We took the 495 at non-mach speed because the state police were trapping on a holiday weekend hiding them black and whites sneakily behind highway hedges.
In under two hours we pulled into the nearly empty parking lot at Coopers Beach in Southampton.
We spent several invigorating hours roaming the deserted Atlantic shoreline, throwing the bright yellow tennis ball to our delightful doggie, Finnley.
What a great day and Finnley miraculously returned with the ball after every throw…we have spent years chasing her tail down miles of beach as she would fetch and turn and run away from us.
Sunday was a milestone as she actually returned with the ball.
Satiated, we headed for steamers and libation.
Back to the city, exhilarated and proud parents.
The humans clocked a few miles, as well.
