A potential recipe for disaster.

I am alluding to the initial cup half empty media response to Kamala Harris selecting Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

I cook a lot.

Measurements are essential, especially when baking.

When I measure out a cup of flour, milk and sugar I do not mix the ingredients with a cup half empty.

Let’s compare Kamala Harris to a warm, freshly baked apple pie.

Many Americans are savoring her candidacy, so eager to create a presidency that will satisfy the majority. Many are enthusiastically investing in a slice of the positive presidential pie.

The VP has done everything right since July 21st. She has added color and texture.

I tapped Walz from the first day that 9 running mates were proposed.

There were many, very qualified candidates.

Governor Whitmer, who is an amazing politician, pulled out, Buttigieg is too high profile despite the fact that he is a fabulously qualified selection. Newsom is relatively unknown and too progressive. Mark Kelly brought a lot of elements to the table and was a serious contender. In a perfect world I would have chosen Josh Shapiro. He is governor of the largest swing state, a very popular and qualified VP candidate albeit purportedly highly ambitious. He is Jewish and there exists a loud and proud group of antisemitic Americans.

The ultimate decision was most likely influenced by the reality that a prejudicial constituency exists that abhor Jews, gays, women and people of color which eliminated several in the field.

Governor Walz is a white guy from the heartland.  He appeals to your average white, blue color voter, he served in Congress for 12 years and chaired the Armed Services committee, he is of the age to keep and secure all the dedicated older voters who enthusiastically supported Biden, he is a former teacher and football coach with a Friday Night Lights success story and he served in the army. Walz is a moderate with progressive ideas that will only make our country better such as codifying abortion rights in his state. I will wager that Walz will even appeal to the conservative FOX viewership.

In the presidential mix is an ignorant, lying, cheating, adulterer, racist who wouldn’t know an agenda or a positive sentiment if it bite him on his orange ass. The pie will never rise, it is will only come out of the oven half baked, crusty, flat and sour.

The mixture of Harris and Walz will be light and airy, a golden brown and perfectly prepared. The final product will bring those who indulge happiness and satisfaction.

We are sick of the bitter, sad, weird, negative, unappealing half baked product.

Come on people now, smile on your brother and sister and support the delectable choice we now have.

Our future is looking so deliciously appealing.
