After 11 months, I finally made my way back to California.
I was California Dreamin’ never expecting to be away so long.
Up at 4am on Saturday headed for Newark Airport which was a zoo.
The airport was a wild scene at 5am. I am assuming it was Spring Breakers letting loose.
We met our daughter at the airport as she was heading to Los Angeles for work.
We parted ways as she mosied her way into Business Class and we hung a Ralphy to economy.
Life has taken a left turn and we flew in the back of the new Boeing 787 while she lounged in the front of the plane.
She did slum it and visit the plebs, offering us luxury class items, fruit and sleeping masks?
Los Angeles has not changed.
Our home was intact, thankfully still functioning appropriately.
Saturday night, we enjoyed dinner outside at Angelini in Pacific Palisades.
Sunday dinner was highlight at Hide, the place I missed most.
We were warmly greeted when entering and indulged in the best sushi until we were beyond satiated.
Under a gorgeous evening sky we cruised home on Pacific Coast Highway with the wind in our hair overlooking a calm ocean and for one golden moment all was right with the world.
