I have had several days to cogitate.
I have to confess to shedding a few tears during Kaine’s vice presidential acceptance speech on Saturday.
Truth be told, I had some reservations concerning Tim Kaine.
There should be no exceptions to abortion and offshore drilling is a hot button issue.
There was a self-inflicted rap on him for being boring.
Believe me, I have met hordes of boring people and Tim Kaine is not a member of that club.
After Saturday I have no doubts.
Kaine is quite a man. I say man because he isn’t a rigid, plastic politician.
First and foremost, he is a human being.
His credentials as well as his beliefs are true blue.
I cried because I am afraid…very afraid.
Donald J. Trump is a hoax and a dangerous egomaniac.
I can see a financial quagmire, war, violence, hatred, anti-Semitism, increased racial profiling, a dysfunctional relationship with Putin…a complete and utter disaster.
Traveling abroad may not be a viable option.
I love America…it is flawed, but great now and forever.
Can it be better? Of course, but don’t kid yourself and vote for a fraud.
As Michelle Obama said on Monday night at the DNC, “When they go low, we go high.”
Please, take this election very seriously.
Take to heart Michelle Obama’s words, “In this election, we cannot sit back and hope that everything works out for the best, we cannot afford to be tired or frustrated or cynical. Hear me: Between now and November, we need to do what we did eight years ago and four years ago. We need to knock on every door, we need to get out every vote, we need to pour every last ounce of passion into electing Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America.”
Unlike Melania Trump I gave credit where credit is due.
Let’s get to work.
And…This is Our Fight Song:
