We Went Cold Turkey…Bordeaux Restaurant Review

Don’t let the turkeys get you down.

So we did not.

Instead we experienced an atypical Thanksgiving feast at Cent33 located in a charming Bordeaux neighborhood.

The intimate restaurant could not have been more perfect for a celebration.

The four course lunch tasting men menu, comprised of seasonal ingredients, was exquisite.

One of the restaurant specialties: “The robatayaki” or robota is at the center of the cuisine. It is a wood fire hearth used as a means of cooking. Originally from Japan, it was used as a heater by fishermen in northern Japan in their boats.

The French chef, Fabien Beaufour, spent many years abroad in the luxury hotel industry (United States, Switzerland, Great Britain) and in the kitchens of prestigious gastronomic establishments such as Eleven Madison Park in New York.

Let’s take the culinary tour (65 euro):

Le Mont Blanc Chataigne Citron

We parked in the center of Bordeaux old city and found our way to Cent33 through the striking Jardin Public which ignited our appetite for a fabulous, untraditional Thanksgiving feast.

Another stellar Thanksgiving celebration in France.

Until next time…
