Waiting For A Girl Like You…

It’s raining powerful women!

I shall shower you with some names…Simone Biles, Kathy Ledecky, Sha’Carri Richardson, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, A’ja Wilson, Ilona Maher, Mallory Swanson, Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith, Kristen Faulkner, Gabby Thomas.

Throughout the Paris Olympics, the world watched as U.S. women experienced triumph after triumph

The American female athletes dominated in Paris. They earned a combined 26 gold medals, the most by a women’s team in a single Olympics.

65% of the United States’ gold medals this year were awarded to women.

Factoring in silver and bronze, the US women won more medals than the U.S. men and surpassed individual countries medal count, including Australia, Great Britain, Japan and France.

And, let us not forget the woman of the moment and the hopeful preserver of democracy, Kamala Harris

Girl power…gird your loins for a hard fought Olympic size battle over the next 84 days. We WILL elect the first female president, fair and square, as well as once again securing a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body.

I am woman and, holy crap, we are collectively winning and roaring!

You forgot to mention Kristi Kirshe #12 from the Womens’s Rugby team. <3.
She and my youngest met as newborns. Then my husband started coaching them in soccer when the were in preschool. He coached them all the way through high school.
I loved watching her in Tokyo and Paris.
