I swore off Broadway shows for the next few months.
That lasted a New York minute.
Last night (Monday shows are very infrequent on Broadway), I went to see Job which was a huge hit off Broadway.
We had drinks and a tasty sushi dinner at a place very close to Times Square, but thankfully, not right in the middle of the chaos.
Job is a provocative, daring, well written, sometimes uncomfortably amusing new psychological thriller.
The cast comprised of Peter Friedman and Sydney Lemmon, the accomplished granddaughter of the legendary actor, Jack Lemmon, was riveting.
Needed to take the subway home because it was hot as hell and walking was not an option
Even though my husband was with me I pasted us both up against the wall while waiting for the subway to arrive.
The train was delayed and we started at simmer and then quickly escalated to boil.
Thankfully, the trains are mostly air conditioned.
Riders must be vigilant. There are way too many insane occurrences of people pushing subway passengers onto the tracks.
Time Square is almost as threatening. Maleficent is needed to rid the theater district of those aggressively smelly Disney characters that follow you around.
New York City has it all.
