Tantalizing Omakase at Taki…South Florida Restaurant Review

I had previously read about an Omakase restaurant in Delray Beach, Florida.

To be honest, I did not consider dining there because the Omakase is $160 per person.

Frankly, that is not an extreme price for a similar experience in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, but seemed high for Palm Beach adjacent.

I eventually succumbed and took my husband to Taki for his birthday.

The intimate 14-seat sushi bar is very attractive and the staff efficient and welcoming.

Taki means waterfall (there is a water wall in the restaurant) and it is worth every penny.

18 courses of rich, fresh, sumptuous sushi with each piece dressed with a delectable dollop of foie gras, caviar, gold leaf and many more enticing toppings.

The Wagyu course was outrageous.

We delighted in tasting fish that we had never tried. Many varieties of  the fish are flown in from Japan.

The Tuna Belly was off the charts as was the Uni and the various Salmon courses. I never enjoy Mackerel and Taki’s was incredible.

The service is efficient and the two sushi chefs were welcoming, caring and presented each fish in great detail.

Take a visual, mouthwatering tour of our delectable, elegant Omakase dinner:
