The prices can be comedically astronomical.
There is a small Omakase bar on the upper west that I have been meaning to review.
We made a reservation at the 12-seat unpretentious bar.
The $115 menu offers an Appetizer, 14 courses of seasonal locally sourced fish as well as fish flown in from Toyosu, Japan, a Handroll and Dessert.
The meal was varied with conventional fish and while it was tasty, it lacked creativity and I was just not that into it. $115 is still a hefty price tag.

There are other omakase places that are less expensive, have more appealing ambiance and tastier fish.
