Hopped in our Citroen and took off for Spain last Sunday.
We had an amazing lunch in Bilbao.
Next was a visit to The Guggenheim in Bilbao.
Our ultimate destination was the most amazing hotel, Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Elciego, Spain.
The rooms are spacious and luxurious with patios offering stunning views, the black bottom pool enticing, the food delectable, the breakfasts fit for a Queen and the spa services top notch.
The stunning 21st-century chateau was designed by internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry and is a true masterpiece. Located in “The City of Wine, it is a 5-star hotel located on Marques de Riscal.
Marqués de Riscal is one of Rioja’s oldest and most famous wine estates in Spain. An interesting, in depth wine tour is included.
