Snackification…

Emotional eating?!

Cookies, chips, candy and popcorn sales are soaring as America binges on snacks.

Nearly half of U.S. consumers are eating three or more snacks a day.

The amount of indulging is increasing as rapidly as interest rates.

Perhaps yet another Covid side effect.

If I snacked that often I would definitely be bingeing on Ozempic.

Snack sales ballooned to $181 billion last year…that’s a lot of junk food because this is not veggie and fruit grazing.

Oreos, Ritz Crackers, Swedish Fish sales jumped 22% in the past 3 years and Hershey chocolate rose 30%.

As if there are not enough snacks on the market breakfast cereal companies are doing a deep dive into promoting cereal as an all purpose snack.

Let the debt ceiling snack on that and if a Republican is elected president this country will be munching nonstop in dire need of instant gratification.

I am simultaneously scarfing down M&Ms while reaching out to my broker instructing her to invest in Hershey.
