My new obsession is breakfast smoothies.
Fresh fruit is glorious this time of year.
My mini-blender is in constant use.
My favorite smoothie is Mango.
I throw in a 1/3 cup of milk.
I use 2% because that is what my husband prefers, but you can use whole, nonfat, oatmeal, etc.
I then toss in 2 tablespoons of nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt that I buy at Trader Joe’s.
My favorite fruit is mango because it creates such a thick, delectable smoothie.
I add the meat from 1 large peeled mango.
Blend until thick and frothy. Add ice if desired.
Other delightful fruits are honeydew, cantaloupe, stewed blueberries mixed together with either stewed peaches or stewed nectarines.
The entire process takes 5 minutes and it is filling, inexpensive, easy and a delicious drink for two…and it checks all the boxes.
