Simply The Best…

Be your best.

Thats the universal go to mantra.

But after watching the Oscars and all the chatter around the New Hampshire primary we are a society obsessed with being #1, winning, being THE BEST.

Unattainable.

I’m beginning to think we should elect a presidential team lead by a women, comprised of a moderate, a progressive (not a socialist) more representative of the entire country without the risk of a single person who could drag us into unchartered, autocratic waters.

With that being said, what is considered the best was on display last night during the Oscars.

Can’t say it was the best show, but Brad Pitt, Renee Zellweger, Laura Dern and Joaquin Phoenix were all deserving of an Oscar for their outstanding 2019 performances.

Parasite is an original, unique, creatively intriguing film, but in my opinion, not the best.

I would have voted for Jojo Rabbit and 2 films that weren’t even nominated, Just Mercy and A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.

The clothes were not the best so try harder stylists…loved Natalie Portman’s dress and cape ensemble embroidered with the names of the snubbed female directors.

Please learn a lesson from the Oscars…go through life and lose yourself as the crowd did reacting to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” from the 2002 film 8 Mile. Yes, in 2020.

Music unites and brings out the best in all of us.
