Romancing The Stone…

Resurfacing.

Not my face…the Florida kitchen.

Another city, another project.

I adored Queen E. and bought into her purple addiction.

I aided and abetted her quest for purple hued kitchen countertops.

Honestly, they are just not my jam, leading me to tackle another renovation.

I just want clean and bright, but no one in Florida has that probably because bright does not describe the average DeSantis/Rubio supporting Floridian.

Gold is the new grey.

As with fashion, quartz and quartzite are in heavy rotation and the diamond of countertops.

Marble is expensive, huge upkeep and porous…bye bye.

Granite is so 2022.

Quartz is manmade, scratch resistant and low maintenance unlike me.

Is natural stone like women’s black shoes? You never have the right pair for that new dress or pantsuit and must constantly reaccessorize.

I journeyed to an unfamiliar locale to unearth the stone. Welcome to Coconut Creek, Florida.

I never heard of this place.

The city seceded from Pompano Beach in the 1960s. How quaintly admirable. It is nicknamed “Butterfly Capital of the World” because it is home to Butterfly World, the universe’s largest butterfly aviary.

I live to inform and elevate.

Quartz may be out of style in 2025. Hopefully, just like Trump and his idiot band of Magates..

Whatever, I am going with the clean low maintenance.

Onward like a rolling stone.
