Parisienne Brunching At Buvette…NYC Restaurant Review

Brunch.

I have a few favorites in New York City.

Buvette is always trending on my list.

Not only is the food fabulous, you are cosmically transported to Paris and who doesn’t enjoy brunch in the City of Light.

The ambiance is fabulous as well as my Waffle Sandwich comprised of a light as air buttermilk waffle, sunny-side organic eggs, savory smoked bacon, gruyere & delicious maple syrup ($19).

My dining companions ordered a delectable Saumon Fume with smoked salmon, capers and creme fraiche with scrambled eggs on freshly baked bread ($19).

The third selection presented was Jambon Cru with steamed eggs, prosciutto and freshly shaved Parmesan ($19).

Buvette combines the classic Parisian café with the casual nature of a neighborhood eatery inspired by European traditions.

Owner Jodi Williams is a self-taught, James Beard Award-winning chef. Together with her wife and fellow chef Rita Sodi, they founded the widely-admired family of restaurants in New York’s West Village, including Buvette, I Sodi, Vua Carota, Bar Pisellino and The Commerce Inn.

Buvette opened in 2011 in NYC’s west village and has also established branches in Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and Mexico City.

Believe me you will never have a bad meal or an unpleasant moment at Buvette.

C’est ca!
