A genuine good time New York City weekend.
The festivities began with a bougie, fun, adult dinner Friday night.
Saturday started with a long walk in Central Park which was full of tourists who have commenced the annual migration to NYC to prepare for the New York City Marathon on November 7th.
We had tickets to Is This A Room, a compelling new play about Reality Winner, a 25-year-old former Air Force linguist who is surprised at her home by the FBI. She is interrogated and then charged with leaking evidence of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Reality remains in custody with a record-breaking sentence.
The FBI transcript of her interrogation is the heart of the drama, conceived verbatim as a play. It is riveting theater in which a transcript becomes a reality thriller.
We then started holiday shopping in SoHo which was packed.
Purchases were made.
We had a 5:30 reservation at a new restaurant in the east village.
The roads were crammed with cars so we walked the 4 miles and we’re entertained and distracted by interesting retail windows and crowded outdoor dining spots.
Dinner was delish and the day divine.
Another thoroughly enjoyment NYC weekend…the NY Giants were even victorious. A very temporary state of elation was achieved!
