The beach is my magic potion.
Forget sex, drugs, rock ‘n roll, adult beverages.
Just plunk me down on a beach with turquoise water, white sand and a bit of personal space with no boom boxes or loud people within earshot.
Yesterday, I needed a respite from being a sanitation engineer and devoted daughter.
I woke early, swam my laps, took a 4 mile walk around the property and was ensconced on the south Florida beach by 11am.
The cloudless sky, warm Atlantic Ocean and blue water beckoned.
We read for six glorious hours only soiled by the lackluster play of the NY Giants.
We hung until 5:30pm so that I could process an ugly defeat.
Dinner was outside at a sushi restaurant and I hit the bed more relaxed than I have been in months.
A natural high made my day.
