Keep Fighting The Good Fight…

I notice that many people I talk to lately are so disgusted by the political landscape that they are shutting down.

Yesterday, a friend send me a link to an interview conducted by Larry Kudlow pontificating on his Fox show that no other president has lied as much as President Biden (Kudlow served as Director of the National Economic Council during the Trump Administration from 2018 to 2021).

It was rich because he was interviewing former Vice President Pence who wholeheartedly agreed with him.

I was  repelled and disheartened, but we all need to keep on fighting to safeguard democracy as well as preserving women’s rights.

Many readers are involved and donate to countrywide campaigns. Often, we support more high profile candidates…Beto O’Rourke, Stacey Abrams, John Fetterman, Raphael Warnock, Gretchen Whitmer.

I want to introduce you to a strong, dedicated woman who is running against a man who is a trump supporter and someone who single-handedly tried to severely impede our 21st century environmental goals, namely, Ryan Zinke.

Monica Tranel won a decisive victory in the democratic primary and is running for Congress in Montana’s 1st Congressional District representing western Montana.

The primary is the first for the Western congressional district following reapportionment in response to Montana’s population gain recorded in the 2020 U.S. census.

Monica, a mother of three daughters, was raised with her nine brothers and sisters on a working ranch in Eastern Montana.

Growing up with a strong work ethic, she became a world-class rower, competing in two Olympics and winning a World Championship Gold for the United States Women’s Rowing Team.

Monica worked her way through college and law school and never forgot her roots, fighting for Montana ranchers and landowners.

As an attorney, she has taken on some of the biggest corporations in the world and won with the goal of always protecting authentic Montanans.

You may remember her opponent, Ryan Zinke, the former Secretary of the Interior.

Zinke left his post at the Department of the Interior at end of 2018 after serving for two years amid mounting misconduct allegations, racking up 18 federal investigations into his behavior in under two years as Secretary.

The former Republican congressman is running again for Congress against Tranel, with an endorsement from Trump (Libertarian John Lamb, is also a candidate).

Tranel is a born and bred dedicated Montanan.

There is much chatter about Zinke’s permanent  residency. Allegedly, he spends a great deal of time in Santa Barbara, California, his wife, Lolita’s hometown, where she owns property.

For a deep dive, check out Monica’s website at monicatranel.com and you will learn that she is the real thing, a smart, driven, committed, fair-minded, accomplished woman.

I urge you to support her campaign to defeat yet another heinous trump ally and remember no amount is too small.

Let’s stay strong, united and involved.

Currently all elections are national elections, all one has to do is look at the power of single votes and single politicians. Our democracy was not designed to work that way. The recent devastating flooding, in Yellowstone, is sadly a glimpse of not only Montana’s future, but that of all of us if candidates that understand the climate crisis are not sent to DC, to fight for ALL of us.
