It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll, But I Like It…

Career paths.

I am just realizing I boogied my way into a life in rock ‘n roll for a definitive reason.

It has kept me young and provided an interesting wardrobe.

There was always a Pu Pu Platter of sex and drugs available for consumption. It was up to the individual if you wanted to sample from the buffet.

I shunned the hors d’oeuvres. Someone had to be sober, sane and professional.

It was my job to keep the predominantly male rockers in line what with herding them to interviews, concerts, multiple city venues and protecting them from themselves getting busy with underage groupies and helping to create the musical myth while making them famous.

And for a white woman I have perfected my dance moves.

I was born to run and life in the music industry keeps you busy and perennially young…No surgery needed.

Along with a valid music catalogue, the stories allow me to hold my own and continue to be relevant with those much younger folk.

I dabbled in politics…the boring, overweight middle-aged, bad breath white guys made me Shake It Off…rockers are much more interesting and easier to wrangle.

I took the road less traveled and arrived at my destination intact, made my mark and my parting gifts along with an armful of platinum and gold albums is a lifetime of colorful memories.
