The MET Gala is a metaphor for life.
No matter how fabulous you are you still need your glam team to succeed whether it is achieving a memorable look or creating a legacy.
I have been around triumphant, well known people most of my life.
I can honestly say it does take a village to shape the raw, albeit talented entity, to educate, formulate and dress.
In actuality, I have rarely met a well known personality, whether they are a politician, athlete, musician, writer or actor who can turn themselves out with any sense of style.
Debbie Harry of Blondie did rock a Glad garbage bag, but I bought the accessories which were intended for a gorgeous designer dress, but that is a story for another time.
Fabulosity is a full time job so kudos to all those “unrecognized” peeps who turn up looking chic in daily life without breaking the bank or hiring a stylist, who bring up great kids and work hard and create their own success.
Most of us are doing this with our own small village and reliance on our innate creativity.
What you see on the red carpet is high paid input from creative forces so honor yourself for what you manufacture on your own with your unpaid glam team every day.
BTW, money can’t buy you class.
