Best weekend.

My amazing daughter flew in for a play date.

It was heaven except for the 40 minute deplaning debacle as the pilot allegedly hit the jetway ramp. The passengers were finally allowed to deplane from the right side, down a stairway onto the tarmac and then up to the terminal.

Unbelievably, there were no wheelchair passengers which is a given when flying into south Florida airports.

We were reunited and enjoyed a delicious breakfast and then off to the beach.

The weather was perfection…sunny, 80+ degree days, blue skies, no humidity, warm ocean water. We beached it, walked, read and gabbed endlessly.

Friday night we dined at the club and enjoyed fresh fish and club pours.

Saturday night we drove to Miami dodging insane drivers and the crowd from the Formula One Miami race.

In the spirit of car racing we even performed our own pit stop on our vintage Jag, changing the oil, funneling wiper fluid and adding air to the tires which by the way, air is not free anymore. It costs $2. What a world!

I was treated to a pre-Mother’s Day extravaganza.

Everything is more fun with Courtny around and I am so fortunate to have an amazing relationship with my incredible daughter. She even plays Hairdo Dolly with me and I am able to finagle a professional looking blowout.

As with my marriage my motto is, “Do It once, Do It Right!”
