I Want To Be A Part Of It…

Weekends in New York City.

It is a win win situation.

Strolling Central Park and along the Hudson River are picturesque experiences.

Weekend brunch is a tradition at trendy restaurants with adult beverages or hearty classic diner style breakfasts.

Window shopping on Madison Avenue, Bleecker Street or in the Meatpacking district are visually exciting excursions.

I experienced a relaxing one hour foot massage in a clean, soothing setting on 14th Street and 8th Avenue for $45.

Our anniversary celebration, hosted by our daughter at Tatiana, one of the top restaurants in NYC, was Saturday night and fabulosity doesn’t even begin to describe it!

Theater is a terrific activity on a humid, hot Sunday afternoon. I saw Titanique a campy hilarious take on the movie, Titanic set to Celine Dion music for $40.

The only negative was getting to the theatre located at Union Square.

Sunday was the NYC Pride Parade.

We exited the subway at 14th Street to hundreds of participants rushing the exit headed in the wrong direction as a torrential storm had started raining on the parade.

Streets were shut down, dozens and dozens of New York’s finest patrolled the avenues.

There were thousands of parade goers dressed in creative garb, many as cheerleaders and super heroes. Rainbow wigs, chokers and chains were popular accessories.

After the play the streets were still packed with humanity.

Now I know why heterosexual dating in the city is so challenging.

Weekend is a delightful wrap.
