I am chalking up way too many cell phone minutes.
I have been trying to get through to Social Security for days.
I have listened to their soundtrack for hours this week.
I have one simple question that the online source cannot answer.
These crafty bureaucratic devils have the best disclaimer at the beginning of the recorded odyssey.
They state there is bad reception, dropped calls, long waits and be patient, they are servicing 50 million enrollees.
Unlike the interminable wait for the airlines if you have a question or flight change, the carrier at least lets you know approximately how long the wait time is…not Social Security.
Like Marjorie Taylor Greene’s prolonged rants, there is no end to the madness.
Yesterday, I did my morning ablutions, made the bed, brewed coffee, did a 30 minute spin class and I was still just hangin’ on the telephone.
Another reason the alleged “Golden” years suck.

Did you ever get through? Or are you still holding? If so, what is your time limit? 24 hours? A week?
I called every day this week. Finally got through today. Average hold time was 90 minutes. If you do not have the prompts no info is forthcoming. It’s similar to communicating with a surly teenager. No conversation. Yes and no responses, you ask all the questions!
