Girl & The Goat Debut…LA Restaurant Review

Girl & The Goat.

Any interpersonal scenario is possible in LaLaLand.

This coupling is simply delectable.

Expanding Girl & The Goat is James Beard award winning executive chef and first female chef to win Top Chef, Stephanie Izard.

Izard implemented the move, establishing a second Girl & The Goat in Los Angeles in addition to the original Chicago location.

The brand new Arts District restaurant is sleek and monochromatic, serving unique combinations of fabulous food.

Our well informer server, Asher, took us on a tasty tour of the newly instituted brunch menu.

He turned me on to the German winery, Von Winning, which produces amazing white wines. I never indulge in white, but the Riesling was a delightful surprise with sensational grapefruit notes ($17).

We began our journey with Everything Crumpets & Salmon Poke with a divine, silky smoked salmon dip embellished with fresh strawberries, along with fried egg salad and pickled veggies. The crumpets were beyond delicious and the combinations sparkle ($22).

I selected the Potato Crepe and asked for the Vietnamese style sausage on the side so that my non-meat eating husband and I could share the gorgeous crispy crepe with montamore cheese (Parmesan inspired), sweet & sour sauce which you roll up into the lettuce cups. The crunch and flavors were sublime ($19).

We were full, but we dove into a stupendous order of PB&J Sourdough Pancakes. The pancakes were light and airy accompanied by rich whipped peanut butter butter and an enticing strawberry jam maple syrup ($18).

Dinner is allegedly fantastic.

The spacious restaurant seats up to 200 with an expansive bar, a lovely enclosed plant-ladened patio and outdoor seating.

Girl & The Goat fulfills all your desires for a delectable dining experience especially for a soothing, embraceable Sunday brunch.
