It is difficult to imagine a world without RBG.
Unthinkable.
She left an indelible mark on America and the world at large.
Now it is our turn to preserve all that she fought for while taking on five bouts of cancer.
Ironic that Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away on the eve of the Jewish New Year when one’s perspective is to look forward to a sweet, new beginning…is there an underlying message?
According to Jewish tradition, a person who dies on Rosh Hashanah is a tzaddik, a righteous person.
Jewish teaching says those who die just before the Jewish new year are the ones God has held back until the last moment because they were needed most and were the most righteous.
RBG died as the sun was setting Friday night, marking the beginning of Rosh Hashanah.
Her passing must motivate us to action to carry on her work.
If Agent Orange and Moscow Mitch, America’s two Hitlers, can pull off the Supreme Court hat trick, we are done as a nation that previously stood for women’s rights, human rights, civil rights and all the marginalized citizens.
I went to bed with a heavy heart Friday night like most of the sane, caring and compassionate people in the United States of America or more appropriately, un-United.
We must not be defeated.
Let’s all assume the role of evangelist, spreading the righteous gospel of RBG, hoping that this tragedy motivates young people to rise up, register and VOTE because their lives literally depend on it.
Money talks during elections.
Please consider giving even $5 in honor of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Jaime Harrison’s campaign in South Carolina to defeat the ultimate hypocrite, Lindsey Graham.
Pledge to Sara Gideon to send Susan Collins packing in Maine, give to Theresa Greenfield in her race against trump loyalist Joni Ernst of Iowa, support Steve Bullock against Lindsey Graham buddy Steve Daines in Montana, John Hickenlooper against weenie Cory Gardner, Cal Cunningham to beat trump friend Thom Tillis in North Carolina, incumbent Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire running against dorky Corky Messner and let’s support MJ Hegar who is trying to take down another trump buddy, John Cornyn in Texas.
Keep Doug Jones in office against the know nothing former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville in Alabama.
Help former astronaut, gun control activist and Gabby Giffords husband, Mark Kelly defeat another useless trump lackey, Martha McSally.
Support Amy McGrath in her uphill battle to defeat Mitch McConnell and back progressive Jon Ossoff against ineffective multi-millionaire David Perdue in Georgia…these are all ethical, caring candidates.
One can only hold on tightly to all the progress Ruth Bader Ginsburg worked and fought so hard for…praying it will carry us through to a Biden presidency that will preserve her victories and provide some semblance of fair and balance nonpartisan Court decisions, especially when the Supremes could ultimately decide the fate of the presidential election.
It is impossible to do justice to such an amazing Justice.
RBG, please watch over us.
You were small in stature, but a giant amongst women and men.
