The sun set on an incredible vacation.
Jump!
Exactly what I did after landing in New York City after a late night arrival.
Saturday commenced with a ramble through glorious Central Park and taking care of hair business at Rita Hazan with the fabulous Lamont.
It was a trifecta as the entire family was beautified.
No grass grows under our collective feet and we jumped right into a hysterical, rousing performance of the Broadway hit, Shucked.
Shucked is absolutely corny, but every kernel of dialogue is laughter inducing.
Lines such as “if I had a crystal ball I’d walk funny” to “if life was fair mosquitos would suck fat not blood.”
The cast is deliciously talented with a standout A-Mais-ing performance from Alex Newell.
Wine and divine appetizers followed at Daniel Boulud’s, Bar Boulud. The escargot were tres bien.
Settled in to watch a terrific late performance as the Yankees downed the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Sunday dawned bright and sunny and offered another brilliant Broadway performance by Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer in the one woman show, Prima Facie.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to see Prima Facie.
The play is mind blowing and beyond revealing for every man and woman to witness this intimate performance and connect with the truth regarding gender and the law as it relates to sexual assault.
NYC never disappoints…it’s good to be home.
