Fashion Faux Pas…

my
Fashion that leaves you as turned off as anti-vaxxers.

I felt the message was not received at the 2021 MET Gala and this extends to the American fashion exhibit which is the follow up to the gaudy MET Gala fashion freak show.

Last week I toured the In America exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and it was, generally speaking, like shopping for couture at JC Penney.

I am a member so I was able to slide in, but the lines were long and frankly, I would not wait to see this show.

The Fashion exhibits at the MET are usually spectacular…channel Alexander McQueen, Charles James.

This one is drab, the set up ridiculous, music analogous to an uninspired elevator soundtrack and the exhibit really does not reflect the amazing and often groundbreaking style of American designers…it is as exciting as Anna Wintour’s hairdo.

Take my tour which features the best of the worst and save time and money:

Diane Von Furstenberg 1970s
Bonnie Cashin 1973
Donna Karan 1985
Michael Kors 2021
Marc Jacob’s 2020
