Fantasyland…

I have a rich fantasy life.

Mostly, they involve sports, travel and retail therapy…not the prerequisite sex.

I remember when I used to visit Manhattan when I was surviving the boredom of living in San Francisco.

I would say to my husband that one day I would be living in NYC and perusing Barneys New York on a Sunday afternoon, decked out in sweats, having brunch at Freds, loaded down with the Sunday NY Times, sipping a dry rose.

Well, Sunday the NY Giants were off and my fantasy came true.

The day was beyond gorgeous.

I took a long walk in Central Park, shopped until my toes tingled at Barneys and then met my husband at Freds Madison Avenue on the top floor of the store for Sunday brunch and an iced cold glass of Provencal rose.

What a scene.

Everyone appeared to know each other…lots of hugs and kisses.

A plethora of blown up lips, facelifts and rhinoplasty.

I felt left out, but natural.

Freds Vegan Salad

The Freds Vegan Salad with heirloom beans, garbanzos, black quinoa, brunoise of carrot, celery, and onion, over wild arugula, radicchio, and endive, topped with chopped avocado and tossed with salsa verde vinaigrette, was chock full of healthy ingredients and rendered delicious.

David voted for the Lox Platter featuring two types of smoked salmon, 3 spreads and heirloom tomatoes.

We departed at 4pm and Freds was still emanating organized chaos.

We stopped at E.A.T. for a homemade black and white cookie to complete the dream sequence.

My fantasy became a reality.

I am a simple girl.

And now, onto the next.
